Exploring the Short Story: Irish & American Literature

August 9, 2030 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 pm UTC-8

Ready for a fascinating journey through literature? Join us for “Exploring the Short Story: Irish & American Literature” starting this March!

This isn’t your typical book club—it’s an adult education course designed to get your mind thinking in new and wonderful ways. Led by instructor Kerry Cobb, we will dive into modern short stories from both Ireland and the US. Each month, we will read two short stories—one from each country under a specific theme—and then gather to review and discuss them in the following class.

When: 2nd Friday of each month at 10:00am, beginning in March 2026 Where: Mid-Columbia Senior Center in the Deschutes Room

There is no cost to attend, and all materials will be provided at no charge. All are welcome and no previous experience is needed—just bring your curiosity, your sense of adventure, and maybe a friend or two!

Please sign up at the Mid-Columbia Senior Center front desk to reserve your spot. We can’t wait to see you there!
