The Reel Deal

There’s binge-watching, and then there’s record-setting binge-watching.

A 60-year-old Pennsylvania man named Glenwood Hoskin Jr. has earned a Guinness World Record after going to the movies 1,207 times in a single year. The movie fan averaged more than three films a day, carefully planning theater visits from morning until midnight. He shattered the previous record of 777 screenings and says some of his favorite surprises were The Wild Robot and Deadpool & Wolverine.

Hoskin said, “I really found it enjoyable being out of the house, and I always like a challenge and a goal to meet. I am also an organized person, so the work I put into this also made it enjoyable.”
