[October 29, 2026] — Klickitat Public Utility District (KPUD) is issuing this clarification regarding the proposed substation location identified in a large load application submitted by Core Peninsula LLC to KPUD and subsequently forwarded to the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
The application originally identified Lyle, Washington, as the proposed location for a substation development. This was incorrect. The intended proposed location is Dallesport, Washington, not Lyle.
The incorrect location has created confusion and raised concerns among those who have reviewed or received information about the application. KPUD recognizes the importance of providing clear and accurate information regarding proposed developments in our service area and wants to ensure the public has a correct understanding of the location identified in the application.
The location discrepancy has since been addressed, and BPA has corrected the information in its records to reflect Dallesport as the proposed substation location.
