The City is proposing updates to its housing development regulations to expand housing options and streamline the review process for eligible housing projects.
Here are a few highlights of the proposed changes:
• More housing options: Allow triplexes, quadplexes, and cottage clusters in the Low Density Residential (RL) zone, where these housing types are not currently permitted.
• A simpler review process: Remove the separate Site Plan Review requirement for eligible one- to four-unit projects in all zones, allowing them to proceed through the building permit process without this additional land-use review.
Get involved by attending the upcoming Planning Commission or City Council meetings to learn about the proposed changes and share your feedback, or contact the Community Development Department at [email protected] with questions or comments.
