A couple in Indiana has found a hilarious way to give back to their community by inviting neighbors to ding-dong-ditch — and even toilet paper their house — all in the name of charity.
Shane and LeAnn Tanenbaum of Bloomington are hosting their annual Halloween tradition through October 30th. Anyone can ring their doorbell for free and get treated to Shane charging out the front door, waving a cane and yelling with full theatrical drama.
Even better? For a $20 donation to one of four local charities — including the local animal shelter and a children’s center — families get five full minutes of uninterrupted time to cover the couple’s front yard trees in toilet paper. The couple says it is all about helping local organizations while giving parents and kids a safe, fun space to make crazy memories without getting in real trouble.
LeAnn says, “It just comes from a place of wanting to provide a little bit of help to these community organizations, but also give families a safe place to make memories and have fun. And what’s more fun than throwing toilet paper at some strangers tree?”
