Anna Faris says she was blindsided and hurt by comments from Mom co-creator Chuck Lorre, who suggested in his new memoir that his initial reservations about casting her were justified.
In Sitcom, released Tuesday, Lorre wrote that Faris’s unexpected departure from the CBS comedy in 2020 confirmed his early doubts about hiring her. He also suggested the reasons for her exit were known to those working on the show.
“Yikes. Yes, I read a few things. I really didn’t see that coming. Of course it hurts,” Faris wrote on Instagram Thursday.
The 49-year-old actress expressed gratitude for her seven seasons on Mom, which centered on characters recovering from addiction.
Faris also revealed she has been sober for a year and a half, saying she is healthier and happier than she’s been in years. (Deadline)
