Last year, Klickitat PUD’s Low-Income Elderly Discount program provided direct bill assistance to 400 residential customers at least 62 years old. Recipients received about $83,000 in direct bill discounts during the winter months.
This year, Washington Gorge Action Programs (WAGAP), Klickitat County Senior Services and Klickitat PUD have set five dates for community enrollment events throughout the county to simplify assistance and bring all the assistance providers to one spot.
Plan on attending an event to get enrolled early!

Make sure to bring the following:
- Proof of age
- Proof of income
- Most current KPUD bill
If you’re unable to attend one of the scheduled events, you will have a chance to schedule an appointment with Senior Services and WAGAP.
Annual enrollment is required for eligible residential customers. This discount shall not be combined with other special PUD rate programs, such as customer generation.
Service shall be furnished through one meter to a single-family residence only.
