Sometimes you gotta do what you just gotta do — unless what you gotta do involves getting naked in a HomeGoods store.
A Florida man is facing an indecent exposure charge after police say he stripped completely naked inside a HomeGoods store in Cape Coral. According to authorities, 43-year-old Billy Thomas walked into the store, approached a shopper, apologized by saying, “I’m sorry, I have to do this,” and then removed his pants and exposed himself. Police later found him near a nearby Aldi store. Thomas reportedly told officers that his clothes and bicycle had started smoking, although officers said they never found a bicycle.
Shoppers said they were shocked and concerned, especially about children potentially witnessing the incident. Police arrested Thomas, and records show he has been arrested dozens of times in Lee County since 2002. (Gulf Coast News Now)
