SEATTLE (AP) — Demond Williams Jr. racked up 373 yards and four touchdowns on 27-of-33 passing and Washington put together its best offensive showing of the season in a 48-16 win over FCS Eastern Washington. Dezmen Roebuck led the Huskies (3-0) with a career-high nine catches for 121 yards. Rashid Williams added 86 yards on six receptions and caught a pair of touchdowns, including a one-handed highlight at the front pylon to put the hosts up by three possessions.
Caden Pinnick throws 2 TD passes, runs for one and Washington State beats Duquesne 48-7 for 1st win
PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — Caden Pinnick threw his first two passing touchdowns this season and ran for another to lead Washington State to a 48-7 victory over Duquesne on Saturday for the Cougars’ first win. The Cougars (1-2) led the Dukes (0-3) of the Championship Subdivision just 14-7 at halftime but broke it open with 21 third-quarter points including Pinnick TD passes of 11 yards to Jack Pedersen and 10 yards to Braden Ganashamoorthy. Kirby Vorhees added another touchdown when he broke loose for a 58-yard run at the end of the period. Tank Hawkins and Maxwell Woods added punt return TDs in the final quarter.
Atkinson throws for 5 TDs, runs for another score as Oregon State beats Montana 52-17
CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Braden Atkinson threw five touchdown passes and ran for another score, tying the Oregon State record for total touchdowns in a game, Oregon State beat Montana 52-17. Atkinson was 22-of-30 passing for 333 yards and capped an 11-play, 84-yard drive with a 1-yard scoring run that made it 35-3 with 7 seconds left in the first half. Jesse Legree had four receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown. The freshman is the first Beaver since Brandin Cooks in 2013 with three consecutive 100-yard games. Aeryn Hampton added six receptions for 94 yards and a TD for Oregon State (1-2). Keali’i Ah Yat was 27-of-40 passing for 240 yards and two touchdowns for Montana (3-1). Brooks Davis had 11 receptions for 135 yards and a touchdown.
