Maybe don’t flaunt your snake on the boardwalk. And no, that’s not a euphemism for something.
A man showing off his Burmese python to a crowd at Coney Island in Brooklyn, New York, last month had the pet confiscated and was ticketed for owning the animal, News 12 Westchester reported.
The man was also carrying a second, smaller snake – a ball python – around his neck.
He was confronted by a Department of Environmental Conservation officer and allegedly admitted the larger snake belonged to him. The Burmese python is illegal to have in New York and is considered a dangerous species.
The snake is now expected to be transferred to the Nassau County SPCA.
