The parking lot where it happens: Machete-wielding men duel outside Florida grocery store

Get ready for Hamilton: Florida Man Edition.

ABC affiliate WMBB reports that two men were found fighting in a parking lot outside a Publix grocery store in Panama City, Florida.

There were some minor differences between the Publix duel and Alexander Hamilton’s duel with Aaron Burr. For example, instead of firing pistols like Hamilton and Burr did, these men were wielding machetes. Also, instead of being driven to dueling by their political differences, these men were apparently fighting over an ex-girlfriend.

Another key difference is that both men were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, which was not the case for poor Alexander Hamilton.

Much like the actual Hamilton, though, it sounds like no one left this ordeal “Satisfied.”
