We’re not even mad, that’s amazing: Pilot spells out ‘I’m bored’ during test flight

If you’ve ever found yourself just typing “I’m bored” over and over again into a Word document on a particularly slow work day, then you and this pilot have something in common.

According to the BBC, a pilot flew a path that spelled out “I’m bored” during a two-hour test flight.

The plane, which belonged to the company Ravenair, was being tested after a part was replaced.

The pilot’s flight path did not bother operation manager Wayne Barrett, who, like Ron Burgundy when Baxter ate the whole wheel of cheese out of the refrigerator, was more impressed than angry.

“I think the pilot was literally a bit bored as it was just a test flight,” Barrett says. “Mind you it was pretty skillful flying.”

“He was a bit bored but he probably had to concentrate a lot in the end to spell out the words so he was probably anything but,” Barrett continues. “He’s not in trouble but we have had a lot of attention from it.”

At least when the rest of us are bored at work they don’t make us also fly planes.
