We’re not going to pretend to know much about the rules of cricket, but we’re pretty sure it doesn’t involve actual crickets or any other animals, for that matter.
So we can’t be too surprised that a cricket game in England was called off when it was interrupted by a bull.
The team Hetton Lyons CC, which was playing the match, posted images of the bovine invader on Instagram.
“Rumour has it the cow wasn’t after the grass… it just wanted to remind everyone that it still has the best moo-vement on the pitch,” the post’s caption reads.
According to the BBC, the bull had escaped from a local farm. Both the farmer and the police were called to address the situation, and the animal eventually left on its own.
Unfortunately, though, the delay meant that the rest of the match had to be scrapped, which is a different kind of bull.
