THE DALLES, Ore. — The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Lynn Cox has officially assumed the role of
President & Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2026.
Cox succeeds longtime President & CEO Lisa Farquharson following a planned leadership transition and now leads one of Oregon’s oldest and most respected business organizations into its next chapter of service, collaboration, and economic leadership.
Raised in The Dalles, Cox returned home after more than three decades away, bringing with her over 25 years of corporate leadership experience with Intel, where she developed expertise in strategic planning, operations, project management, communications, cross-functional leadership, and building high-performing teams. Since returning to the community, she has dedicated herself to strengthening the local economy through tourism, business development, community partnerships, and regional collaboration.
As Tourism Director for the Chamber, Cox has worked alongside local businesses, elected officials, regional organizations, nonprofit partners, and community leaders to promote The Dalles as a premier destination while supporting initiatives that enhance economic opportunity and quality of life. Her ability to build relationships, bring organizations together, and turn ideas into action has made her a respected leader throughout the region.
As President & CEO, Cox will oversee all Chamber operations, membership services, business advocacy, tourism promotion through Explore The Dalles, strategic planning, community partnerships, and initiatives that support long-term economic vitality throughout North Wasco County.
Board Chair Darcy Long said the Board of Directors was unanimous in its confidence that Cox was the right leader for the Chamber’s future.
