Everything’s bigger in Texas, even lost animals

Of all the animals to go missing, you’d think a giraffe would be easy to find. Not so, say those looking to retrieve Gracie.

According to The Associated Press, Gracie, a 3-year-old giraffe, has been missing from her Texas enclosure for about two weeks. Vic Jones, who owns the property, has offered a $5,000 reward for Gracie’s safe return.

“She wound up going up and feeding in an area on the hillside and the rocky ledges that none of the other giraffes had ever gone on before,” Jones says of Gracie. “And when she came down off of there, she came down on the wrong side of the gate.”

Jones says that Gracie should be fine finding food with all the leaves around and probably won’t bothered by other animals. He also says Gracie isn’t a danger to humans.

“She’s not around people,” Jones said. “She’s out in very, very rough, heavily wooded lands.”

So far even helicopters haven’t been able to locate Gracie. We’re sure that the sound will be sweet when amazing Gracie is finally found.
