The Fig Newton was named after a suburb of what city?

The Fig Newton is named after the suburb of Newton, Massachusetts, which is located just outside Boston.  The cookie was created in 1891 by the Kennedy Biscuit Company, which was based in nearby Cambridge, Massachusetts. The company's plant manager, James Hazen, made it a tradition to name their new baked goods after surrounding Boston suburbs (at one point, they nearly called it the "Fig Shrewsbury").
