Sleeping bear channels office worker to grab free doughnut

Police in New Jersey used the same tactics to trap a bear that managers use to lure office workers into a meeting.

According to the Elizabeth Police Department, a bear was spotted taking a nap in the tree of a resident’s backyard. To get the animal to come down, officers enticed it with “day-old donuts, peanut butter, apples, and some kind of caramel spray inside the trap cage.”

“Somewhere, every cop-and-donut joke just became justified!” the department writes in a Facebook post.

The bear was “safely relocated without injuries to residents or the animal,” the post reads.

Honestly, you’re going to have to offer fresh doughnuts if you want us at the meeting. Ah, who are we kidding. One day-old doughnut, please.
