Tune into a beary important news alert

If you’re a TV news reporter, it’s awfully convenient for the subject of your report to stroll into the shot. For this local Los Angeles reporter, it was also a bit scary.

KTLA‘s Erin Myers was delivering a piece on bear encounters when an actual bear wandered behind her into the shot.

“And yes, we all see that bear up to the right side,” anchor Megan Telles said from the KTLA studio.

Myers continued to narrate as the bear inspected a trap that was set up by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, which aimed to catch a bear reportedly living under a person’s house.

“You can see the bear actually walking into the trap, or no, it was going to, but now it’s walking out,” Myers said.

The bear eventually left the shot and went on its way, apparently satisfied with its camera time.

You know bears, they live for the a-claws.
