With the rise of cellphones, there seems to be little use for public phone booths nowadays. Perhaps it was a lack of practice that led to a man in England getting stuck in one.
The Manchester Evening News reports that a man found himself trapped in one of England’s famed red phone boxes after the heavy door closed behind him.
The man was stuck in the booth for about an hour before he was freed by fire crews.
As for why the man entered the booth in the first place, he had apparently hoped to place an order for a kebab. To add insult to injury, the booth didn’t even have a phone in it, leaving him both stuck and hungry.
