Stranger Things fans, if you could make a deal with God, would you want to swap places with Joey Avalos?
According to Guinness World Records, Avalos officially holds the title for the largest collection of Stranger Things memorabilia, which includes 2,301 unique items.
“I started collecting right after the show came out but there wasn’t a lot of merch out there,” Avalos says. “I was already a Funko Pop! collector so that was the easiest way to get into collecting Stranger Things items.”
He adds, “Like the Upside Down, my collection continued to spread throughout my house and continues to spread today.”
Stranger Things premiered on Netflix in 2016 and concluded on New Year’s Eve 2025 with its fifth season.
Avalos picks the season 4 episode “Dear Billy,” which prominently uses the Kate Bush song “Running Up That Hill,” as his favorite.
“It hit me right in the feels and to this day it’s pretty much my favorite moment in Stranger Things,” Avalos says.
Avalos did not mention how his love of Stranger Things hit him right in the wallet.
