More like the Autobaaaa-hn

While cars are known for speeding through Germany’s Autobahn highway system, a flock of sheep were moving much more slowly through the city of Nuremberg.

The Associated Press reports that some 600 sheep were guided through Nuremberg’s central market square as shepherd Thomas Gackstatter led them toward winter pastures.

While residents, ahem, flocked to see the sheep in action and filmed with cellphones, city officials urged bystanders to keep the area clear and to keep their dogs away.

Once the sheep arrive to their winter home, their grazing will help with maintaining the grass in the meadows.
