A Delta passenger turned the Atlanta airport into his own personal bar crawl.
Patrick Plank challenged himself to visit all of the Delta terminal’s eight Sky Club lounges — plus its one Centurion lounge — in the three hours he had at the airport before his flight took off.
“I travel a lot for work and I travel a lot in general and have spent a lot of time in the Atlanta airport,” Plank tells People. “I was sitting there one day and was thinking, ‘I wonder if it’d be possible to go to all of these [Sky Clubs] before a flight.'”
Plank planned his mission so that the last lounge he visited was the one closest to his gate. That was especially smart since he availed himself to the food and drink options at each lounge, which meant throwing back numerous alcoholic beverages.
“I’m from Wisconsin, so I’ve got a background in being able to consume and hold my liquor,” Plank says. “But yeah, the walking definitely helped.”
Plank documented his successful attempt in a September TikTok video. He says he was happy for the “cool experience,” but ultimately concludes that the lounges are best for just that: lounging.
“I think the purpose of them is to be able to sit in them and enjoy your time and sort of relax,” Plank says. “I was definitely sweating by the end of it.”
