MINT Team executes a Search Warrant in Wasco County

The Mid-Columbia Interagency Narcotics Task Force (MINT) executed a search warrant today, October 28, 2025, at a residence located at 4537 Hwy 30 in Wasco County.

During the search, MINT detective located and seized illegal narcotics, specifically a substance presumptive positive for the presence of methamphetamine. Detectives also recovered multiple scales, packaging materials, and U.S. currency associated with the sale and distribution of narcotics.

Robert William Paasch, a 64-year-old resident of Wasco County, was arrested at the residence. Paasch was charged with Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Due to medical issues, he was cited and released with a future court date.

MINT was assisted in the operation by members of The Dalles City Police Department, the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office, the Hood River County Sheriff’s Office, and the Hood River City Police Department.

“This operation highlights our ongoing commitment to combat drug related crime and protect our community from the impacts of illegal narcotics,” said a MINT spokesperson. “We appreciate the vital cooperation of all local agencies involved in this operation and remain dedicated to this collaborative effort.”

As part of standard protocol, samples of the recovered controlled substances will be submitted to the Oregon State Police Crime Lab for further analysis and identification.
