Scheduled maintenance, cleaning, and repairs will cause intermittent partial closures to Bagby Hot Springs between Sept. 25 and Oct. 6.
The concessionaire will be repairing the roof of the staff cabin, power washing the bathhouses, and conducting other needed repairs to the facilities. This work will close certain areas of the bathhouses for several hours on any given day. Visitors may visit the site during the work, but they might have to wait long periods of time to access tubs.
Bagby Hot Springs is a popular recreation site offering a unique, rustic hot springs experience, located adjacent to a secluded tributary of the Clackamas River 40 miles east of Estacada and is managed by a concessionaire, Bagby Preservation Inc. The site typically remains open year-round, but winter weather usually impacts road access between November and April.
