REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER ARRESTED ON NEW FEDERAL CHARGE

On June 26, 2025 the Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office assisted Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force to execute a Federal Search warrant at the residence of Corbett Craig, a registered sex offender that resides in the Goldendale area of Klickitat County.

When the HIS investigators, ICAC Task Force, Air Support and the Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the residence, an adult female and young child were located.  The adult female and child remained outside of the residence to allow an extensive search for evidence.  The suspect, Corbett Craig, was not found at the residence at that time.

Klickitat County Sheriff Detective Kirstin Leroue worked with the Department of Children, Youth and Families to remove the child from the home.

HSI Task Force Officer Casey Gillette was granted a Federal Arrest Warrant for Corbett Craig on the same evening.  The Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office continued to investigate possible locations of Corbett Craig and successfully located him at around 5:45 p.m. in High Prairie.  Corbett Craig was detained and arrested without incident.  He was transported to the Klickitat County Jail on local charge of Possession of Child Pornography.

On June 27th, Corbett Craig was released on local charges and transported to Yakima to be held on Federal charges.  This is an ongoing investigation and if you would have any information on this case or others, please contact the Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office at 509-773-4455.

The Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank Homeland Security Investigators and the ICAC Task Force for the extensive investigation that led to the arrest of a sexual predator in Klickitat County.

The Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office activated the Warrant team and Reserve Deputies for this mission.  Sheriff Songer would like to express his gratitude to his team members for the hard work and diligence in this mission.

We would also like to thank the Goldendale Police Department, Bingen-White Salmon Police Department, Klickitat EMS District 1, and Klickitat County Department of Emergency Management 911 Dispatch for their assistance covering calls, standing by during the execution of the warrant and monitoring our radio and phone traffic during this incident.
