OLYMPIA, WA – You are invited to attend our annual Washington State Fallen Firefighter’s Memorial Service this Sunday, June 22, 2025, on the State Capitol’s West Campus, in Olympia. At this year’s memorial service, we will honor our following Brothers and Sisters:
- Lieutenant Raymond Proper Jr. of the Tacoma Fire Department
- Deputy Fire Marshal Brian Annis-Levings of Central Pierce Fire and Rescue
- Engineer/Paramedic Ryan Pleasants of the Walla Walla Fire Department
- Lieutenant Leslee Smtih of North Whatcom Fire and Rescue
- Deputy Fire Marshal Phil Ferrell of the Tacoma Fire Department
- Battalion Chief Ron Cato of Pend Oreille County Fire District #2
- Captain Dean Warren of South County Fire
- Pilot James Maxwell, Wildland Fire Contractor
We will memorialize these firefighters with a procession, a bell ceremony, plaque presentations to the families, and by hanging embroidered ribbons on the memorial pike pole. While their loss is profound, our Brothers and Sisters will forever be in our hearts.
The memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. The State Capitol is located at 416 Sid Snyder Avenue SE, Olympia Washington 98501.
