Driving Infraction Leads to Drug Bust

To our friends near and far, we’ve got a dandy for you….back by popular demand, we’ve got an interdiction stop with METHAMPHETAMINE! If you zoom in on the picture, you’ll spot Meth, that fancy crystal-like substance. It’s also that super adicting, teeth eating, totally illegal drug that one of our followers asked us to focus on instead of, you know, drivers under the influence of weed and Twisted Teas. Here at the HRPD, we’re all about equal opportunities – we don’t discriminate against any impairing substance. If you’re impaired you will be arrested.

On April 27th, 2025, an officer with the HRPD conducted a traffic stop for multiple driving infractions. During the stop, the officer observed several indicators of impairment. Following a field sobriety test, the female driver was taken into custody for DUII-Controlled Substance. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded 273 grams of methamphetamine, 10 grams of heroin, fentanyl, assorted medications, scales, paraphernalia, packaging materials, and over $1800 in cash. An adult male passenger was also taken into custody, facing identical charges as well as multiple arrest and probation warrants. Notably, a minor child was present in the vehicle, in close proximity to the assortment of illicit substances. Cases of this nature underscore the importance of our officers’ diligent efforts to enforce DUII laws and protect the community.
