These two really put the forever in BFFs.
As WLKY reports, Pat DeReamer and Mary Wheaton have been exchanging the same exact birthday card every year for over eight decades. The tradition began when Wheaton gave DeReamer the card on her 14th birthday, April 1, 1944.
“We never said, ‘We’re going to do this,'” says the now 95-year-old DeReamer. “At least, I don’t remember ever saying that. It just happened. After about five years, it just … every year we’d talk about it, and it would give us some reason to call each other and talk.”
