City of The Dalles adopts the revised collective bargaining agreement  with The Dalles Police Association

The Dalles City Council reconvened in open session following a half-hour executive session at the end of Monday night’s meeting and councilor Ben Wring made this motion. 

03 26 25 Wring :13  “I move to adopt the revised collective bargaining agreement dated March 24th, 2025 with The Dalles Police Association and the City of The Dalles, effective July 1, 2025 through July 2028.”

Yesterday afternoon City Manager Matthew Klebes said the changes in the new 3-year contract include consideration of a first step increase in pay after 12 months with the city instead of 18 months, an increase in incentive pay for Intermediate certification from 4 percent to 5 percent, and for Advanced certification from 8 percent to 10 percent, increases in health insurance premiums split between the city and employees, and cost of living increase of 8 percent beginning July 1 this year and 5 percent for the next two years.
