SALEM, OR — The following is a statement from Oregon Secretary of State LaVonne Griffin-Valade about the Oregon Audits Division’s IT audit released today. The audit assesses the OregONEligibility System, or ONE, which is the state’s public assistance eligibility system:
“We often say auditors go where the risk is. As some of the state’s most expensive programs providing crucial services for vulnerable Oregonians, Medicaid and other public assistance programs are inherently high-risk. Today’s audit provides valuable assurance that a major IT investment is generally working well, while also offering recommendations for the Oregon Department of Human Services on how to mitigate any weaknesses. I encourage the agency act swiftly to implement these recommendations.”
The Oregon Audits Division’s report is available on the Secretary of State’s website.
