Traffic Stop Leads To DUII & Drug Arrest in Hood River

On September 7th, 2024 an Officer with HRPD stopped a vehicle for exceeding the posted speed limit. During the contact, the officer who has received specialized training in the arena of controlled substance impairment, observed several signs of impairment exhibited by the driver. The driver was eventually taken into custody for DUII.

A search of the vehicle yielded 92.3 grams Fentanyl, 40.3 grams Methamphetamine and 0.3 grams Heroin. Also seized was in excess of $4,800 and a digital scale. A second vehicle occupant was also arrested. The second occupant acknowledged the pair had used the located substances appropriately 1hr prior to being stopped. The driver was lodged at NORCOR on PCS/DCS Schedule II, PCS/DCS Methamphetamine and DUII-Controlled Substance. Our officers will do their best to remain vigilant and committed to keeping our community safe and drug free.
