Citizens gathered in front of the Klickitat County Courthouse on Saturday to honor fallen members of law enforcement. Sheriff Bob Songer said there have been three fallen officers in Klickitat County since 1976, sharing their names and stories to honor their legacies.
Sheriff’s deputy Tim Neher spoke at the event, thanking the community for their support, after he had been struck in the head with a hammer when responding to a call on May 5th. County Commissioner Dan Christopher also spoke at the event, honoring Sheriff Bob Songer for taking good care of his employees at Sheriff’s department and the Klickitat County jail.
