State Legislative Democrats agree to hold hearings on some of the initiatives, but many are asking, why not all of them?
Majority Democrats announced that three of the six initiatives to the Legislature will receive hearings.
Senate Republican Leader John Braun says the hearings will be on the initiatives to protect parents’ rights, ban income taxes, and restore police pursuits.
The initiatives to repeal the capital gains income tax, the long-term care payroll tax, and cap-and-trade gas tax will not receive hearings.
Initiatives that don’t get a hearing go straight to voters in November.
Lawmakers could adopt the others or propose alternatives that would appear alongside them on the ballot.
