The Dalles, OR – The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Highstreet Insurance & Financial Services, regretfully announces the postponement of our much anticipated event, the 2024 Distinguished Citizens Award Banquet, originally scheduled for tomorrow night, January 18th.
Due to the impending severe weather conditions, including ice and snow, which pose a risk to the safety and convenience of our attendees, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the event.
Our Board of Directors have unanimously agreed on this decision, emphasizing the importance of safety and the challenges posed by the weather. The safety and well-being of our honored guests, attendees, vendors, and staff are our top priority. Unfortunately, severe weather conditions, including a freeway closure, have caused delays in the transportation of essential food and supplies for the event. As a result, we have no choice but to postpone this community event to a later date.
We understand the importance of this event and deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our distinguished guests and attendees. Rest assured, we are actively working on securing a new date for the banquet, and all tickets and reservations will be honored for the rescheduled event.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to celebrating with you on the rescheduled date under safer and more enjoyable circumstances.
