Grand Jury Indicts Kevin Dahlgren on Multiple Theft, Identity Theft, and Official Misconduct Charges

Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt today announced that a grand jury indicted Kevin Vaughn Dahlgren, 53, on 19 charges related to multiple incidents of theft and misuse of his official position as a homeless services specialist for the City of Gresham:

  • Seven counts of Theft in the First Degree
  • Five counts of Identity Theft
  • Two counts of Aggravated Identity Theft
  • Five counts of Official Misconduct in the First Degree

After hearing sworn testimony from eight witnesses, the grand jury returned a true bill of indictment on October 26. A warrant was issued for Dahlgren’s arrest, and detectives with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dahlgren this morning.

Dahlgren is currently lodged at the Multnomah County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing, and additional victims have been identified but not located. Anyone who has had contact with Dahlgren in his capacity as an outreach worker is asked to contact MCSO Detective Dylan Lerch at [email protected].

A charging instrument is only an accusation of a crime. Dahlgren is innocent unless and until proven guilty.
