The Dalles Beautification & Tree Committee has awarded the October Beautification Award to Tasha & Guillermo Sandoval of 973 Honey Do Street.
When asked to describe their garden, the Sandoval’s wrote,
“The Sandoval’s moved into their home 14 years ago and started with gravel and dirt, since then they have created a beautiful landscape over the years by adding over 30 ornamental trees, and various plants, lawn, edging, fences, gardens, fruit trees, outdoor theater and more. Tasha & Guillermo have been inspired from generations down, and have passed the inspiration to their children Julian & Chanel who now can trim and form decorative trees, and help maintain the yard all year long. They have taught their children how satisfying gardening can be by growing your own food, and how much joy it brings to make you happy and stress free.”
The award was presented by Beautification & Tree Committee members Janet Kavanagh and John Nelson as well as Mary Beth Richmond of Columbia Gorge Real Estate.
