SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella told a judge Wednesday that his company’s proposed $69 billion takeover of video game-maker Activision Blizzard will be good for the gaming industry. He made the comments as he defended the deal against an attempt by federal regulators to block it. Nadella says Microsoft has no interest in shutting out rival Sony’s PlayStation console by making popular Activision games exclusive to Microsoft’s own Xbox game system. Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick also testified Wednesday in favor of the deal. The hearing could make or break the most expensive acquisition in the technology sector’s history.
