Community aids in capture of a suspect in Wasco

Last Wednesday in Wasco, a suspect from a domestic disturbance fled from a home on foot after law enforcement arrived on scene. The Oregon State Police and the Sherman County Sheriff’s Office searched the area for the suspect. Eventually, law enforcement found the suspect and he was detained after a foot pursuit. The suspect was cleared at the hospital and then lodged at NORCOR for multiple criminal offenses.

Several citizens in Wasco aided in the capture of the suspect by reporting to 911 and law enforcement on scene the direction the suspect fled and the general whereabouts of where he was hiding. We appreciate the vigilance of our community and their assistance when it comes to making sure our cities are safe.
