SNOHOMISH, Wash. (AP) — The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries says the owner of a Snohomish framing company is facing nearly $400,000 in fines for allegedly allowing crew members to work high above the ground without fall protection. The Daily Herald reports Genesis Framing Construction owner Cecilio Solorio currently faces the fines for nine violations. Solorio told the newspaper he will appeal. Labor & Industries says he’s been fined 15 times before for the same violations. The agency also found Solorio had fall protection violations for two other businesses he operates: Chilos Builders and Solorio’s Framing. The agency says from 2016 to 2020, 30 workers employed by those businesses were hurt.
