Gunfire outside Portland hospital shatters glass ER doors

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Police in Portland, Oregon, are investigating a shooting just outside a hospital that shattered a glass entrance door. Legacy Emanuel Medical Center told the Oregonian news outlet that the emergency department is still open and operational, despite the damage. Investigators suspect someone shot at another person who was walking to or from the emergency department. Police reportedly found five shell casings and one bullet on the driveway just outside the entrance. No injuries or arrests have been reported. Portland police say the city has recorded nearly 1,200 shootings between January and November.
