2 teens charged in deadly Seattle high school shooting

SEATTLE (AP) — The King County Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges against two teenagers for their alleged roles in the fatal shooting of a student at Ingraham High School in Seattle last week. KUOW reports a 14-year-old who is lodged at the county’s youth jail is facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, and first-degree murder. Prosecutors said they requested the 14-year-old be tried in adult court because of the murder charge. A judge will decide if the suspect will be transferred. A 15-year-old who prosecutors say was arrested with the alleged shooter with a gun in their backpack has been charged with unlawful firearm possession and rendering criminal assistance.
