Cookies tossed, wine splashed in Walmart brawl

Two shoplifters got so mad that they weren’t able to make off with their stolen goodies that they decided to go for broke and trash the store they were stealing from.

The Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Police Department described the bizarre incident on Facebook. “Two shoplifters caused a disturbance inside the Old Fort Walmart, breaking bottles of wine and throwing packages of Halloween Cookies as loss prevention workers tried to detain them,” they explained, adding, “The shoplifters also approached Murfreesboro Police Department officers yelling, screaming, and resisting arrest.”

The post described how, as officers arrived on the scene, an 18-year-old suspect identified as Toilynn Flakes began breaking bottles of wine and throwing cookies, despite multiple attempts to make her stop.

“Officers then restrained the woman by using soft open-hand techniques, placing her on the floor to cuff her. Flakes is charged with resisting arrest, theft, vandalism, and simple assault,” the post reads.

A 17-year-old was also arrested.

“The preliminary investigation reveals the females paid for grocery items. However, they are accused of concealing approximately $670.64 worth of clothing and other items before trying to leave the store without paying,” the report reads.

Flakes has been released on $4,000 bond, and the minor has been released to her parents.
