Police shoot, kill man with knife in Seattle suburb

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. (AP) — Police in the Seattle suburb of Federal Way say they shot and killed a man after he charged them with a knife on Sunday night. The city’s police department says they were called to the Federal Way Transit Center after a man refused to get off a bus and tried to start it to drive away. Authorities say when the man exited the bus he charged officers with a knife. Officers responded by shooting him. He died at the scene and no officers were injured. The officers involved are on leave and a special team is investigating the shooting.
