“You only live once” might not be the best excuse to get a haircut like Mr. Burns from The Simpsons…

Next time, consult a professional hair stylist…

A 12-year-old boy is going viral because the haircut his mom gave him looks like something straight out of The Simpsons. In fact, the young Nathaniel Glennen looks like a sinister Mr. Burns — Homer Simpson’s greedy boss.

His mother, Johanna Clark, shared a TikTok video that explained her son wanted to actually look like the villain from The Smurfs — the evil wizard Gargamel. Unfortunately, she didn’t cut the hair right and wound up giving him an “excellent” Mr. Burns-style half-bowl cut instead.

“Am I a bad mum for gletting [sic] my son cut his hair like Mr Burns?” she wrote in the video, which sees her son hunch over and drum his fingers together as he lets out a low, “Smitherssss” — the name of the CEO’s sidekick.

Although the video was posted last month, it is now going viral — amassing over 6.4 million views, as of this story. The mom sat down with The Mirror to talk about the unexpected fame.

According to Clark, she thought her son would rock the haircut for one day, and then she’d shave the rest off — but her kid is in love with his strange new ‘do.

“Nathaniel is a quirky 12 year old with autism and some pretty amazing self confidence,” she explained. “I was worried he might get picked on but he’s actually got a lot of street cred for the cut and has become bit of a legend at school.”

The mom added, “He’s so happy with the results and he wants to keep it like that ongoing, I’m praying he will let me shave it soon but if he’s happy, I’m happy. He’s only a kid for so long, let them be kids and have some fun.”
