On Monday, July 4, 2022 at approximately 7:36 PM, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to single vehicle crash on Hwy 244 near milepost 13. The location of the crash was 13 miles east of Ukiah.
Preliminary investigation revealed a westbound silver Subaru Crosstrek, operated by Jacob Moser (30) of Yakima, Washington, left the roadway and rolled. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Moser was transported via Life Flight for his injuries. The passenger in the Subaru, Christopher Kendrick (26) of Mountain Home, Idaho, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Hwy 244 was closed for approximately 6 hours.
