Carrie Underwood’s newest Grammy has arrived in the mail, and she couldn’t be happier

Carrie Underwood has some new hardware to add to her awards case!

The “Ghost Story” singer took to Instagram to share that her latest Grammy Award has arrived in the mail. At the 2022 ceremony, Carrie was awarded Best Roots Gospel Album for My Savior, her 2021 album featuring covers of some of her favorite hymns including “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace.”

It marked her first win in the category and her 8th Grammy overall. Carrie has called My Savior a “passion project,” so naturally, she was pretty thrilled when the accolade arrived in the mail.

“Got a special delivery today! I put her with her sisters! This one feels extra sweet…” Carrie captioned the exciting delivery, all smiles as she posed with her newest addition to her Grammy collection, placing it on the shelf with her seven other trophies, adding the caption #LuckyNumber8.

“We are SO proud of you!” commented the official American Idol account. Carrie famously won the show in season four in 2005.

Other Grammy categories Carrie has won include Best Country Solo Performance and Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
