Kennewick man’s body found in Walla Walla River

WALLA WALLA, Wash. (AP) — The body of a Kennewick man was discovered in the Walla Walla River by fisherman, two weeks after he disappeared. The body of 36-year-old Eswin Danilo Reyes Gonzalez was found by fishermen about 1 p.m. Sunday. Walla Walla deputies, county fire and Columbia Basin Dive Rescue responded and recovered the body. The coroner’s office took the body and an autopsy was conducted Monday morning. While the cause of his death hasn’t been officially determined, there isn’t any suspicion of foul play. The water in the Walla Walla, Snake and Columbia rivers was in the low 50s. Those temperatures can cause people to develop hypothermia quickly.
