Drunk driver allegedly crashes car, heads straight to dealership to try and sell damaged car

An Evansville, Indiana man was arrested on Monday for drunk driving after allegedly crashing his SUV, then driving to a car dealership where he attempted to sell the badly damaged vehicle.

Witnesses reported seeing Jordon Mattingly, the 30-year-old son of Miami Marlins manager and former professional baseball player Don Mattingly, hit a highway median, which caused a flat tire and the car to smoke, according to WFIE.

Mattingly continued driving, eventually stopping at the dealership, where he appeared “super drunk,” witnesses told police. He then tried to sell his SUV.

They say Mattingly smelled of alcohol and almost fell several times. Officers say he tested .291 on a portable breath test.

Police say inside his SUV, they found Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.

Mattingly is facing several charges.
