Scheffler has 5-stroke lead at The Masters

AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) — The hottest player on the PGA Tour is threatening to turn the Masters into a runaway. Top-ranked Scottie Scheffler has a commanding five-stroke lead through two rounds at Augusta National. Scheffler fired a 5-under 67 under windy conditions to move to minus-8. He began the day two shots behind first-round leader Sungjae Im, who finds himself in a second-place tie with Shane Lowry, Charl Schwartzel and Hideki Matsuyama. Tiger Woods made the cut at 1-over, salvaging a 2-over 74 after playing the first nine holes in 39.
