Woman’s 911 call: “I want my chicken”

The latest “You called 911 for WHAT?” story comes from Euclid, Ohio, where a woman called the Chagrin Valley Dispatch 911 on Tuesday to report that she paid for eight pieces of chicken and only received four.

The dispatcher, explaining that the oversight was a civil matter, told the woman  “there is not much the police can do about it” and to take it up with restaurant management, according to WJW TV in Cleveland.

The woman, however, insisted she wanted to talk to a police officer, who was dispatched, but told her he was unable to help.

The Euclid police chief says he would like to remind people to only use 911 when it’s an emergency.

“While we are here to serve the public an incorrect drive-thru order is not a police matter,” said Euclid Police Chief Scott Meyer.
